Swades -Yaeh jo desh hai thera...

It's a rainy day here in Phoenix. Listening to Rahman's Swades "yaeh jo desh hai thera".It's a Sweet melody with good chenoy interludes, tabla and wonderful lyrics by Javed Akthar. Somehow this film didnt flick in box office. But Asuthosh Gowriker had made a decent attempt to portray reverse brain drain and home coming of NRIs.
Shahrukh Shined in the movie and cried first time on screen for indian farmer's poverty and not for luv-cancer.Gayathri Joshi and Kaveriamma also did pretty decent acting. I specially liked that "Dhabba Character" and Blaze Rap in the background.
Asutosh is all set for his next historic flick with ash-hrithik-rahman combo.
