AR.Rahman's Anbe Aaruyire --- A High Power Rock

While the Rising audio review seems to be criticising, Rahman is bored with doing lot of period films. This news could be a rumour as he recently signed Asutosh Gowriker’s Akbhar-Jodha. But “Anbe Aaruyire” songs have a very good variation, good voice selection, lot of remixing and new beats. You can listen it online @ Listen Online

Check out the song list

The Bold and Beautiful "Ash" and Rude Salman

I can't even imagine how ash would have with stood this stupid salman's Conversation. but she should be really bold enough to face all this scrap and scuffle. i still remember listening to Sanjay Dutt's talking about his personal life to gangster Chhota Shakeel, also known as Dawood Ibrahim’s right-hand man. These dadhas do good business in dubai & all over the world. They run gold & jewellery business, star hotels to groceries, real estate to contracts.I guess, their side business is to use drunkard and nuts like salman khan & sanjay dutt for threating actresses.

Why don't film industry get rid of all these idiots ?

Alteast, Why don't we public get rid of all these stupid heroes ?
or will they forget the news witin 2-3 weeks which is what a survey says ?

National Award...

This year National Award has been announced and very saddening & frustrating not to find Manirathnam’s AE, Balaji Shaktivel’s Kadhal.Kamal’s Virumandi. Both of these movies are known for their best screenplay and Photography.
To everybody’s surprise, Swades bagged Best Cinematography award. Mahesh Aney has done a good job in the movie and few scenes to mention are title opening, “Yuhee Chala Chal raahee” Song, Farmer Portraying his Sad Story. But can anybody forget Ravi.K.Chandran’s amazing work in AE/Yuva/Black, Thiru’s Work in Virumaandi,Sriram’s Work in Vaanam Vasapadum, Manikandan’s Mein Hoon Naa.
Congrats to Cheran and him team as his Autography was recognized.
Chitra did a genial job in "Ovvaroo Pookalumae".
Saif Ali Khan beat other contenders such as Shahrukh Khan (Swades), Vijay Raaz (Hari Om) and Subodhro (Krantikaal) to win the Best Actor Award for his role in the frothy romantic comedy `Hum Tum'. That was a OK kind of movie with lot of artificial flavor of love spilled all over the movie. Chairman of the Jury for Feature Films, Sudhir Mishra, defended the choice of Saif, saying, "Shahrukh in Swades was not a bad performance. There were other performances also which were good. But here is an actor who is approaching a role in a different way." Saif can’t compete with Kamalhaasan’s Virumaandi’s Action or atleast Shahrukhan’s Most Acclaimed Nasa Scientist role Mr.Bhargav in Swades. Jury team oldies have to be totally whacked for not even listing Kamalhaasan in contenders list.

BTB, Have anybody seen Madhu Bhandarkar's Page3 ?

Kadhaal Sadugudu...

"alaiyae sitRalaiyae", a peppy song from Alaipayuthe is one of Manirathnam's Master Art in Duet filming. Sharp Voice of SPB.Charan's and Naveen's Hum are 2 plus points for this song along with Rahman's astounding Music with good guitar base. PC.Sriram camera defines the art of filming a love duet in a very small room shooting the Chemincal between Karthik and Sakthi.I guess the full song is choreographed (Farah Khan)in a reverse order and then rewinded during the editing in a slow motion. Shankar used the same technique in "Kuruku Cheruthavalae" Song in Mudhalvan where Arjun and Manisha will raise from water without single droplets on their face which is also actually a reverse-editing.

Hats off to Vairamuthu who has given unlimited good songs like this...

My IMAX Experience

Last weekend, It was of my first experience of IMAX @ Arizona mills theater which has a 80ft elliptical digital screen. IMAX (for Image Maximum) is a film projection system that has the capacity to display images of far greater size and resolution than conventional film display systems. A standard IMAX screen is 22 m wide and 16 m high (72.6 x 52.8 ft), but can be larger.

The first movie was James Cameron, Academy Award® winning director, who combined his talent and his passions of aliens and space in his 3D film ALIENS OF THE DEEP. Cameron takes audiences to the bottom of the ocean to encounter some of the strangest life forms on Earth, while inviting us to imagine what future explorers may someday find on other planets. ALIENS OF THE DEEP presents the highlights of more than 40 dives made to the Mid-Ocean Ridge, a submerged chain of mountains that winds 46,000 miles around the globe and contains mineral-rich volcanic vents with names like Lost City and Snake Pit. These vents spew constant clouds of super-heated water, made dark as smoke by substances sent up from deep beneath the earth’s crust. It was a interesting documentary to watch. Heard that this guy is also shooting some ghost movie in IMAX 3D.

Coming out of the theater and after having coffee we all were discussing about WILDLIFE SAHARA which is another 3D movie screened in the same IMAX. My Movie database had another update on the same day and same evening when we rushed inside the theater leaving the ticket front desk guy with full 360 smile.

First time Wild life Documentary is filmed in three dimensions in African regions. With Ranger Liesl Eichenberger, zoologist as a guide, Wild Safari 3D takes the viewer along for a three thousand-mile ride in an open air vehicle on a game drive through nature reserves of Africa on a quest to see the Big Five, the most dangerous and spectacular animals on the continent. It was a real good 3D experience for 45 minutes.Yes, the only minus point was the duration of the movie as it ends abruptly.

Lonnnng weekend...

It was a pretty long weekend here in US. It was a gala time in Tempe Lake area yesterday where the whole public has gathered to witness the colorful firework. Arizona’s best local bands were playing good music and the family fest offered a free rides, rock climbing walls, water wars, relay races, magicians and more. Yes all for US Independence Day Celebration. Huge crowd in all the food and beverage section made people slog. that was the only minus point. the traffic was carefully routed around arizona state university and yes it is namma oooroo THIRUVIZHA in US you can say. Makkal sell state ice and nanaari sarbath in madurai. Here dudes sell Budweiser beer and hot dogs. The moment fireworks started, their national anthem on the background made public call out “God bless America”. It took me 1.5 hrs to come out of ASU Parking. On the highway, quickly grabbed a veggie sandwich at 11:55 PM, 5 minutes to their closing time and rushed home.
